COMMENDATIONS
In December 2020 our family emigrated from SA and arranged through a pet relocation agent to take our two beloved dogs with us. As they couldn’t travel together with us we left them with Mark and Suzi at K9 Bliss for a short time until their scheduled departure. When we left, we expected to be reunited with them within one week.
Unfortunately after we left SA, the plans went completely awry. The unfolding COVID situation and tardy work by our pet relocation agent resulted in a series of delays to their travel. This caused significant stress to our family, especially the children who are deeply attached to their pets.
However, our saving grace was K9 Bliss.
From the first moment, they took our pets into their fold and treated them like their own. They were truly sympathetic to us and the dogs and became our partners in managing this horrible situation together.
It eventually took 5 months for the dogs to be flown to be with us. All that time Mark and Suzi went way beyond what was expected in caring for them.
The list of what they did is long, but it includes …
- General caring – daily walks, feeding, playing, accommodation etc
- Daily email updates to us incl. photos and anecdotes. This made a huge difference to our
children in particular
- Video calls for us to interact with the dogs
- Arranging all necessary vet visits and medication requirements (our dogs are old)
- Arranging professional grooming
- Liasing with the pet relocation company (a lot of difficult admin)
- Overseeing their eventual travel to meet us
Overall, Mark and Suzi were the difference between our dogs arriving safely and healthily, and not. Their love and care kept us all positive through this tough experience, and no words can describe their empathy and professionalism. We cannot recommend them highly enough and we encourage anyone reading this to trust them completely with their beloved pets.

The dogs have amazing sleeping quarters inside and huge separated runs outside with ample shade under roof weather protection. You have to see it to believe it.
